Gene Louw Primary School

Hello local yokels, I am looking for some help.  A while ago I met a really brave young woman who is a single mom to a very special boy.  We met online because she bought something from me on Gumtree. Through our conversation, I discovered that she is supporting her son alone on a salary that isn't huge. She recently let me know that her son had been awarded a bursary to attend grade 1 at Gene Louw school in Durbanville but that she can't afford to buy him a new school uniform.  She is looking for anyone who is willing to sell their second hand boys school uniform to her at a reasonable price.  Her son is 7 years old and weighs 23 kgs (in other words, he is a skinny 7).

I don't want to say much more because it is not my story to tell but this young mom and her son could really use the help, so if anyone is able to sell (donate!) their used school uniform, or any part of it, I would be really grateful.  You can email me at tertiaa@ gmail dot com

(I know lots of people need help, but somehow this young woman and her son have touched a nerve for me.  I suppose because I have a 7 year old son too and I can't help but think that it could be Adam and I that need the help. I would hope that if we ever needed help, there would be someone out there who would be willing to lend a hand.)

My daughter does not attend Gene Louw Primary, but I know of a couple of people who do, please let me know if you still need stuff and then I will ask all I know that attend that school.
