It's so hard to wait and watch when a loved one is ill. Hang in there. Here's to a speedy recovery (although Friday might be pushing it!).

I am so sorry you and your family have had to go through all this. Hope your father continues to improve, and your mother's tests all stay good.

I'm happy to hear that he is doing better. What an awful time for your family!

It certainly HAS been an emotional year for you. Hang in there, Tertia. I hope your dad's recovery is as speedy as he's hoping it will be!

I am sorry for all you and your family are going through, but this update is nice. I hope the good news continues and you can breath a huge sigh of relief.

The best of times and the worst of times... but I hope that the worst part is over and you can all get back to normal life. (ok was the normal part pushing it too far?)

i'm so glad he is improving...what an emotional topsy-turvy time for all of you.

possibly you could remind your readers about the importance of donating blood?

Glad all is getting better, bit by bit! Hang in there! xoxo

Tertia-
I'm the OT (an OT?) who has commented about Adam before. I'm a geriatric therapist and I work with people after bypass operations frequently.

I don't know why I didn't think to say this sooner, but there is good news. The procedure has changed somehow. I'm not even sure how other than it is less rip-you-apart than it was even 8 years ago when I started.

chances are good that within a week he'll feel much better, by week 3 he'll feel pretty good and by week 4 or 5 he'll be very anxious to get the precautions lifted. We generally send people home from the nursing home (and of course people who come to us are often the sickest to start with) at 3-4 weeks now.

I hope your dad is in the best luck category!

What a week. I am so glad to hear that, despite the ups and downs, your dad is doing ok. HOping and praying he continues to improve.

Tertia,

I'm sorry you've had such an emotional week. Best of luck to your dad, you, and your whole family at this challenging time!!

Jeanne

My fingers are crossed that he gets healthier and healthier.

What a week! I'm so sorry. I'm praying for your father and your family!

What stress. Sounds like he is doing better, but ye gads.

Hang in there!

I know you can!

Hugs Tertia, our thoughts are with you and your family.

I think of you all and wish you well.

So sorry for the roller coaster you've been on Tertia. Thank you for letting us know how things are going. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

oh gosh this is heartbreaking to read, and here i sit feeling sorry for the things that are not working out in my life and i shouldn't be, there are others like you and your family that have far more heavier matters on the heart, i hope things get better quickly, thinking of you and your dear family

Hope that he's a bit better today. Thinking of you all

Sorry to hear this week has been so rough. I hope everything is smooth sailing again soon.

Hoping for continued healing at a rapid pace.
So sorry for all of this.
(just sent you an e-mail)

hang in there,

Oh, Tertia, I'm so sorry you and your family have had to go through all of this! I'm hoping your Dad gets better soon and you are able to finally have some peace. You have such a strong family; no wonder you're such a strong woman!

I will continue to keep you and your familiy in my prayers and hope for a speedy and from now on totally uneventful recovery for your pop.

Wow it must be a really scary time for you. Glad to hear he responding well to treatment. Best wishes

I wish you and your family strength. My husband was in cardiac ICU earlier this year. A scary time. Best wishes to you.

Keeping you Dad and your family in my thoughts for a speedy recovery. Hang in there, Tertia.

Wishing you all strength. Am praying up a storm.
xx

Darling T, I am just popping over from Mel's blog to let you know that I am praying hard for Dad and keeping your whole family close in my thoughts.

Love, Laura

I popped over to Mel's blog because I was worried about you and thought she may have an update - so sorry your family has to deal with all of this at once. Hang in there - all the internets in the computer are pulling for your dad!
