Oh what the hell, I might as well enjoy it. I was going to say we can only talk about names after Wed's LBC (live baby check) but you know what, I can't keep living in limbo, waiting and worrying about the 'what if'. I am going to TRY my best to enjoy this pregnancy. (Dear Jinx, I am not enticing you, I am being pragmatic rather than arrogant. Please don't punish me)
So, name that baby. The parameters:
- Must fit in with Adam and Kate
- Don't worry too much about fitting in with Albertyn because what the hell fits in with that anyway. Don't tell Marko I said that.
- We prefer short names. Like Adam and Kate.
- Not terribly fond of very modern or trendy names.
- Ben and Luke are out as they are the names of my other sons who passed away.
Fire away. I look forward to your suggestions. A smooch (with tongue) to the person who comes up with the winning name.
John or Alex are my picks, both short and classic.

What about Caleb? :) So very, very pleased for you!!
Posted by: Candice Noll | 01 December 2008 at 01:45 PM
Matthew
Daniel
I love Irish names but I could see how Declan or Ronan wouldn't quite fit in with Adam and Kate :)
Posted by: Leigh from 123 blog | 01 December 2008 at 01:47 PM
I say Jack or Oliver
Posted by: Col | 01 December 2008 at 01:47 PM
Um. Throwing in here:
Omar- 4 letters, 2 syllables like Adam
Zach- I just like z-names
Joseph- classic
Eamon- not classic but I like it with Adam and Kate.
So happy for you, still praying and hoping you're reading the comments :oD.

David,
Trevor
or
Kevin (but then you have the 2 x K's)
I like the sound of Adam, Kate and David :-)
Posted by: Kerryn | 01 December 2008 at 02:09 PM
I like Zach and Peter - both have been suggested, but they sound great to me.
Do you like names that have nicknames, or no?
Posted by: Emily | 01 December 2008 at 02:10 PM
Sam. Or David, but really I like Sam.
PS Yay!
Posted by: Robin from Israel | 01 December 2008 at 02:13 PM
You know it has to be Jack. Nothing else will be accepted. x
Posted by: SuePoo | 01 December 2008 at 02:14 PM
Hey Tertia! So, so excited for your 'normal' results, you must be elated!
As for the name it just has to be Jack. Adam, Kate and Jack - perfect! :D
x
Posted by: Yvonne | 01 December 2008 at 02:16 PM
Oh Tertia, I'm so glad you're feeling happy and confident, and inviting us to do this. Oooo, so many possibilities, but if I had to choose a four-letter name to match Adam and Kate: Dale. (Dale Albertyn actually has a certain ring to it...)
Posted by: Michelle | 01 December 2008 at 02:20 PM
Max. In Germany Maximillian is among the popular names - but Max for short is nice and would fit in with Kate and Adam. Then if Max wants to be fancy later - Maximillian Albertyn seems to go together.
Posted by: Kim | 01 December 2008 at 02:23 PM
I like David, Matt, Noah, Eli, Graham, Sam, Joel, Nathan.
And I love a nice normal pregnancy. I'm so happy for you!
Posted by: margalit | 01 December 2008 at 02:23 PM
Liam (it was on my mind before Lelanie suggested it, so I want the smooch with tongue too if it wins).
Sean. I love how it sounds.
These are my favourite. Actually, this is how I'd name my baby if I married an english speaker (I'm spanish).
I also like Matt, Jack and Daniel. I specially think Daniel fits in with Adam so much.
Happy happy for your results. Wanna see that pregnant pictures!

I can think of more, but I am not sure what's popular over there and what's not!
Posted by: Emily | 01 December 2008 at 03:05 PM
I love the name Jack - totally practical and you can't ever spell it wrong (very popular from the look of the other comments
Adam, Kate and Jack
or how about Max - Adam, Kate and Max
or Josh, or Blake but that might be a bit too modern for you?
Posted by: Jo | 01 December 2008 at 03:05 PM
How about Ryan? I also second the people who've said Max; that's my son's name.
P.S.: turns out I'm pregnant too. No assistive technology required. :)
Posted by: Molly Chase | 01 December 2008 at 03:06 PM
My son is Owen and my husband is Adam, so I know those two go together ok. The other boy name we tossed around was Liam.
My best friend has two boys, Pierce and Martin. Both short and classic names.
My other friend has Nick and Gabe. Again, short and classic.
My brother is Alan, and my husband's father is Allan, but I know from experience that the whole Alan/Adam/Allan name confusion thing is a pain in the ass, so I suggest staying away from Alan/Allan/Allen.
So, to sum up:
Owen
Liam
Pierce
Martin
Gabe
Nick
Congrats!
Posted by: Dana | 01 December 2008 at 03:08 PM
Jake or Luke would be my picks.
Congratulations!! I'm so excited that you are getting to pick out names.
Posted by: Valerie | 01 December 2008 at 03:09 PM
Have you seen the Baby Name Wizard? It's skewed American but it might give you some ideas http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager
Congratulations to you and your whole family! I'm so happy for you!!!

Jinx, obviously, since this baby broke the jinx and you can finaly wear the maternity clothes.
Posted by: Elizabeth | 01 December 2008 at 03:16 PM
Jack and Henry are trendy right now, if you ask me. Don't get me wrong- there's absolutely nothing wrong with those names. It just seems everybody is naming their boys either Jack or Henry these days.
I like David, Daniel and James.
Posted by: KellyH | 01 December 2008 at 03:20 PM
Ok sorry for not being to wait just one more minute. I couldn't find the other babys names so I hope i didn't do doubles. Although then I would be on the right track!
Posted by: mijk | 01 December 2008 at 03:21 PM
I am very partial to the name Bo. ;)
Here are my ideas - Alex, Jack, Henry, James, Owen (my third favorite Bo name).
I hope one of these catches your eye!

Posted by: Terrie from Oz | 01 December 2008 at 03:28 PM
I don't have a new one, but going through the current suggestions my first choice is Zach. I also like Max or Matthew (the latter probably because my son is Matthys, which has the same origin.)
Posted by: Annalien | 01 December 2008 at 03:30 PM
Eric - Means forever
Posted by: Anika | 01 December 2008 at 03:33 PM
My vote is Matthew. It means "gift from God".
This is my son's name. I had him after 3 hellish years of fertility treatments, including 7 IUIs, 2 IVFs, 1 miscarriage, and 1 ectopic.
He is truly a gift from God.

Posted by: ann | 01 December 2008 at 03:50 PM
Congratulations!
Here's one that no-one has suggested:
Neil
Short & sweet. It is my son's name and we chose it because it is completely bilingual. Not sure how important that is to you/Marko/your in-laws, but it cannot be corrupted and sounds the same in either language!
For what it's worth, I also love the name Jack.
Posted by: Gayle | 01 December 2008 at 03:50 PM
Jack, Jake, Matt, Liam- I think it has to be a four letter name to fit with Adam and Kate. Clearly you like short names because you've used Ben and Luke- they are short too. This is so exciting!!!!
Posted by: Lindsay | 01 December 2008 at 03:50 PM
Oh and BTW, Neil means "champion"! Yay!
Posted by: Gayle | 01 December 2008 at 03:52 PM
If you haven't heard of the Baby Name Wizard--you have to go check it out. Best book ever for names. She's got a great website that tracks trends (mostly in the U.S.), but here's another site she has:
www.nymbler.com
It's your Personal Baby Naming Assistant! I put in Adam, Kate, Ben, and Luke and here are the first suggestions I got:
Jim
Evan
Levi
Jed
Andy
Mose
Zeke
Alex

Matthew is great, but I also like Eli. Congrats!!!
Posted by: Cris | 01 December 2008 at 04:15 PM
I have a Jack and a Ben (also love short names) I also have an Oliver :) But I love Adam and Luke - if I'd had any more boys I would of chosen those names.
Noah is nice too but may not fit in?
Posted by: Nicola Theron | 01 December 2008 at 04:16 PM
Another vote for Jack!
Posted by: MFA Mama a.k.a. "Eliza" | 01 December 2008 at 04:19 PM
Have you tried the baby name wizard yet (I need to find the link). You enter the names of your family members, and it recommends a new name based on what you tell it. Endless fun!
Posted by: louise | 01 December 2008 at 04:22 PM
James! Or Brody! Or Brady! Yay!
Posted by: Amy T. | 01 December 2008 at 04:23 PM
Can't resist coming out of the shadows for this one!! Big hugeeeeeeeeeeeee congrats on the results.
What about:
Tim
Troy
Levi
Luke
or, for slightly longer names that have a nice short nickname:
William (Will) **
Jason (Jase)
Thomas (Tom)
Matthew (Matt)
** my faveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Posted by: Rachel | 01 December 2008 at 04:25 PM
Since he's Lucky Number 7, James seems appropriate. The name Jonathan would be appropriate, too... it's another name that means "gift of God," which is a nice way of saying "surprise." Nathaniel means the same, but it'd be too matchy-matchy to have a Kate and a Nate!
Posted by: Summer | 01 December 2008 at 04:26 PM
First of all - congrats on the well-baby news! :)
I was also going to suggest Alex or John, but other names I like that'd work with Adam & Kate are Phil/Philip, Robin, Joel, Tim, Leo, Jim and Noah.
Posted by: Ninnibeth | 01 December 2008 at 04:26 PM
daniel, zachary, michael?
Posted by: Rachel | 01 December 2008 at 04:28 PM
http://www.nymbler.com/
I typed in adam and kate's names, and it suggests names like Simon, Alex and Jack.
Posted by: louise | 01 December 2008 at 04:29 PM
Jack and Noah are great- but there are just so many little boys with those names at the moment- ditto for Liam.
My boys are Roan and Kai. Too unusual? How about Finn?
Love Tom&Ethan!
All the best to your baby boy!
Posted by: taz | 01 December 2008 at 04:31 PM
My son's name is Cole. It is short and sweet. You are more than welcome to use it!!
Posted by: Kristy | 01 December 2008 at 04:31 PM
I didn't read the comments, so maybe these were already suggested, but I like Sam or Max. Baby names are fun! Also, very very thrilled to hear that the CVS results were normal. Yay!
Posted by: Danielle | 01 December 2008 at 04:38 PM
You have a bit of a biblical thing going on so my first thought was to stick with that.
Matthew
Mark
John (Jack)
Samuel
Thomas
Simon
Andrew
James
My personal pick is James, LOVE that name but it doesn't work with my surname so i have an archie instead :-)

Congrats to you and your family!
Posted by: charisa | 01 December 2008 at 04:44 PM
Tertia -- first of all, congrats and I'm so happy everything is going well for you!
We named our son John -- short, simple, traditional. Our vote for you is John!
Although.. have to watch out with short names that are similar to longer ones. Recently my just-turned-three year old started at a new daycare, and even though I clearly marked on his entrance forms that John was not a nickname for Jonathan, he came home last week telling me that "my name is Jonathan but at home you call me John for short". Over Thanksgiving he corrected his grandparents when they called him John. Sigh!

Posted by: silene | 01 December 2008 at 04:46 PM
I like Ethan. Ethan Albertyn sounds good. Nathan is similar and also good, except that would be Nate for short, which is probably too close to Kate.
Or how about Marc? It's like almost a Marko, but not really.
