All hail the mighty Zofran! I wasn't allowed it unl after 18w and then I was paying $17 a pill so it was a "treat" but how I loved it! Hope it keeps working for you and the pg keeps going well.

Glad it is working so well for you.

A friend of mine who gets nausea with her migraines takes Zofran, too. Migraine sufferers who puke, ask your doctor about Zofran. All the cool kids take it.

I remember my first prescription cost a total of $1200.00 US dollars. Thank goodness I had insurance, It turned out to be about $32.00 a pill (before generic was available). Can you imagine not being able to afford it and having to do with out? It was the only thing that worked for me last year. My copay was $22.50. And it sure made me functional.

Yes. It only gets me from deathlike to 40-50% usually... but I'll take it. How I agonized about taking it at the beginning - not knowing I'd be nauseated into my sixth month. Thank God for friends in the computer who told me to just shut up and take the little yellow pill. It is pricy though and so unfair that some have to pay full price.

Thank goodness for the ODT version...the pill that you simply put under your tongue and it disolves because I couldnt even swallow the regular Zofran, I puked it up instantly. Yes, Zofran IS like Viagra, I agree;)

I *heart* Zofran. I had to take 8 a day from about 6 weeks with my daughter. This was to prevent the 4 hospitalizations that I had with my son. I also *heart* my insurance company. No way I could have afforded it otherwise.

Ahhh, zofran. I didn't start taking it till I was in the 2nd trimester, but I felt better about 10 minutes after taking it. Gotta love that it is generic now, I paid 5 bucks for 30 pills :) I think I have blocked most of my pregnancy pre-zofran, something about puking in transit stations is about all I remember.

OMG - I LOVED ZOFRAN, it was the elixir of mother nature.

OMG you crack me up!!!!!!! I still don't know how it is possible for something *that* small to mess you up that much. Is it really necessary? Really?

damn, if i'd known. all we had was phenegren, which is okay but not wonderful. (well ... the vaginal suppositories were interesting.)

but as previous posters have pointed out, it's not available to us poor folk here in the states anyway. (contrary to what some might tell you, we really do ration care here. we just ration it on the basis of money, not on the basis of either need or ability to benefit.)

I'm one of the brilliant folks who alerted you to Zofran. Now my Dr has also turned me on to vitamin B6, 3 times a day. I was skeptical, as I prefer to jump to real drugs and not waste my time, but thought: "what the hell?" I'm shocked to say that it's making such a big difference that I've even been able to go off the Zofran here and there. I still love my Z., but I'm glad for any help I can get right now.

Zofran, unisom, ginger candy or ginger preggie pops were all the grandest things on earth for me 2 different times...to the tune of 30 pounds lost each pregnancy......do what you gotta do girlfriend..

What does Zofran really do? Is it really safe for pregnant women? I'm actually confused. It's my first time here and this article really caught my attention.

I commented on another thread that I preferred Phenergan, but now I remember that it was Reglan. Phenergan I took in the hospital when I couldn't stop throwing up after giving birth and it really knocked me out. it was Reglan.

If the Zofran works for you, that's great. But if for some reason it doesn't, or you don't like the side effects, I liked Reglan.

what is zofran???? how to pregnant woman?????
