You never stop being a parent

I just spoke to my dad now, he is stressing that my brother bought a motorbike for himself.  My dad is 59 years old and my brother a grown, married man.  I guess you never stop worrying about your kids.  (Luckily *I* never give my parents any grey hairs; me being the angelic, well behaved sibling!)

Speaking about parenting, I am VERY excited to announce that I am going to be blogging over at the brand, spanking new Parent24 portal.  If you are a Logo_parent24parent and you aren't yet blogging, get your worrying ass over to Parent24 blogs and start one up.  It's easy, safe, cosy and hugely fun!  Check out my Parent24 blog here.

Or, as I tell my boys, you will still be my baby even when you are 40 yrs old.

BTW, congrats on the Parent24 gig.

Congratulations on the parent 24 thing!
I had to laugh at your post - you being the oldest, most sensible one, your brother being the youngest, therefore - loose cannon! I have just writtn a post on how birth order shapes your personality!
Go have a look - you might recognise a few characteristics! xx

Hey T - I'm not commenting on what you wrote because I haven't read a word for the last week...ever since my twins arrived! Just wanted you to know my boys Brodie and Nate arrived at 37.5 weeks after a great induction and a 5 hour labour. We're all fine and after a one night hospital stay we're tucked up at home (probably never going out again). After only 7 days I have a new respect for you! I love these little monsters like crazy...but OH MY GOD! Sleep please!

Do they have motorcycle safety foundation classes there in S.A.? Make your bro-ham take the class. Here in the USA, MSF classes teach you basics on motorcycle contrl, and also (and more importantly), how to keep your bike off the front fender of the idiot in the car that just pulled out in front of you, turning left.

Talk him into taking a class

Talk him into wearing full gear all the time (helmet, gloves boots, jacket and pants).

Envy the fun he's going to have.

About time. I have been doing this parental stuff for far too long without a hand book. Congrats!

Congrats to your Boet on the new boney!

I'm guessing your Dad's comments were similar to the lecture I got when I bought a Harley earlier this year (clearly as a married mother of 4 I should know better)!!!

yay more readings :)

read your post about Adam's difficulty with separations at school. we watched this documentary in Human Behavior class a few weeks ago.

Based solely on the study included in the video, I suppose one could say it's normal and a boy thing.
