You know what I wish we had, was someway of getting the news from every one’s blog in a summary or digest form. Like a daily newsletter of headlines, or high (low) lights from the blogging family.
Say either some kind person reading all the blogs and then posting a line or two about what is on everyone’s blog that day. Or alternatively an automated system that puts the subject and first three lines of each person’s latest blog in a digest form.
Because of the ibex connectivity problem I can’t read every one’s blog, I always feel like I am missing out, it’s v frustrating.
Imagine how cool it would be to get a daily summary of what is happening in blog land. With clickable links so if you wanted to read more you could click directly to that person’s blog. That way I could know immediately what was happening to my cyber family.
Being a bullet point type of person I would really appreciate such a service, hell, I might even pay for it.
(highly irritated this morning, my mail has been down for 24 hours, feel totally out of touch, grrrrrr. If tech support was up at 5:45am I would be on the phone already)

OK, I can't give you that, but if you get a my yahoo page (free), you can set up RSS feeds so that you get the first few lines of any blog you want and it shows the last time they posted. If the first few lines interest you, you can click to read the entry. Hope that helps. Having been on bed rest for a month, I have some empathy for you and am trying to help anyway I can!

or try bloglines - it's a free program that sets up the rss feed and organizes all your blogs. It's easy - and free!

Ok, Betsy and Gale are now my heroes. Thank you Tertia for posing the question!

I use kinja.com, which lists the first few lines of each of my favorite blogs as it is updated.

Just delurking long enough to let you know that JJ at JellyBelly does indeed do a round up service with clickable links in her "Sunday Post". However, she's broken her leg (like infertiles don't have enough shit thrown at us) so service may be suspended for a while....
Really glad to hear that all three of you are doing well.

I use Bloglines for this purpose. That way, you only see the blogs that have updated. I think you can choose to have it show the full entry, or just the first few lines of an entry. In any case, it's much quicker than having to navigate to each page and waiting for it to load to see if there are updates.

...and I use SharpReader to read RSS feeds of my favorite blogs; I'm not sure how I lived without it. Take care, Tertia & babies.

I think that is a great idea - I am going to check on some of these suggestions too.
Let's see - latest entry from my blog: IVF Fear Factor, Episode 4008

Another vote for bloglines. I, as you might say, LURVE it. I have been able to vastly expand the number of blogs I read since starting to use it because it's so easy to scan. Like I needed more blogs to read.
I was going to email, but why not comment instead. Can I just say to you, Tertia, perhaps a bit belatedly: HAPPY TWENTY SEVEN WEEKS! Yah baby! Yah babies! Go girl. You. Made. It. Past. The. Last. Time. I know there will be lots of little, weekly steps from here on out. But I have great faith that they will pass along, right along, well into the thirties. And we will be cheering you along, all the way.
Muchos hugos. And a happy dance. Cate

Hi there. Glad to see I got mentioned! I too wanted something just like what you described.
I try to put a post together every week, but it is quite daunting sometimes, especially when I miss a week, and now the broken leg which must stay elevated. (Note to self... get wireless internet.)
I also love bloglines. Helps me keep track of the posts I want to include every week.

Delurking to say that I use FeedDemon to read the RSS feeds. (http://www.bradsoft.com/feeddemon/index.asp) I like it because I can connect and get all the headlines, and even if my connection gets dropped, I can read most of the entries offline. I think it was about US$24. The only problem is that a number of blogs (particularly the Blogger ones) don't have feeds, so that won't solve all of your problems.
Since I'm commenting, I also wanted to say that I'm thinking of you and your babies every day Tertia and I wish you the best!

So does this mean you didn't get my last email, or just that you can't answer it?
And darling, what have you done to your point size??
