Today’s session wasn’t that great. The news is all good, but it was a quickie and I could tell he was distracted. Turns out he was thinking about another woman. Granted we achieved the objective, and I do get it more often than most women, but there was no emotion this time, it was mechanical, I left not fully satisfied. I suppose the selfish cow in labour deserved his time, but next time there better not be any distractions. After all it is all about ME. What happened to ‘you are special’?
Gestation: 23w3d.
Babies: Because it was just a quickie, we didn’t spend too much time looking around, just a quick heartbeat and cervix check. Darling Kate has moved, which explains the reduced movements I felt last week and the DBT’s. She is now lying with her head under my ribs and her feet at her brother’s head. She is kicking him on the head, no wonder he is going crazy and kicking me so much. I can tell this daughter of mine is going to give her mother a hard time one day, she has already started. Adam is lying there, chilled, minding his own business.
Cervix: Long (3.7), closed and extremely well behaved.
So I am good to stay home for another week.
Next appointment next Monday.
For your viewing pleasure a belly shot of my petite, hardly-showing-at-all belly.
Oooh, and tonight is the first ante-natal (childbirth / child prep) class. I only managed to tell Marko yesterday for the first time, been too nervous, he was not v excited (to put in mildly). His words “if they come with that shit of having to stand up and say your name and do all the bonding, touchy feely shit I am out of there”. I said of course. Neglecting to tell him about the breathing and visualization part at the end. Tee hee, should be fun, will let you know about it tomorrow.

Your belly looks loverly, I have belly envy.

Tertia,
Very, very lovely belly! I even made my hubby come look! *I* never looked so glorious with my twins! Hell not even with my singletons! HAG! ;)
Great photo, great update!

Your belly looks very beautiful. I bet you don't look pregnant from the back. As for me, I get the all over pregnancy.
I'm glad to hear the babies are doing well. A non-exciting ultrasound is good too.

Scared me with that opening, you! Now we all know who Kate gets it from.

So glad that all went well with your appointment, Tertia, even if it DID leave you feeling unfulfilled. ;-)
As for Marko's reaction to the class tonight... I'm actually relieved to hear his "normal" response. I don't know many men who are "excited" about such things - good to know that all your struggles haven't diminished that part of him. ;-)
Thanks for the update! Rest well, buddy!

Gorgeous belly.
I'm glad the babies are good and that the cervix is behaving itself.
As for that unfaithful whore of a doctor, perhaps an ultrasound wand up his ass would remind him to stay focused?

*V BIG PLEASED SMILE*

Look at that beautiful belly! Yes, my gut told me that Kate's going to be a hellion while Adam will be a sweet little boy. Looks like they're already proving me right ;o)

Have you got an ibex in there??
Posted by: Mollie | 11 October 2004 at 06:33 PM
So Cool! I was just going to ask for an updated photo. And no stretch marks at all - you bitch. ;o) Keep up the good work there.

Mollie, can't you see the imprint of tiny hooves pressing against her abdominal wall?

Love your baby belly. Must squish it all.

Beeeuuutifuuulll belly!
Posted by: StacyG | 11 October 2004 at 08:09 PM
Listen, honey. It's not going to be all fireworks every time. Sometimes it does become mechanical. I mean, don't you ever find yourself just thinking about what you're going to have to eat when it's over? (or is that just me?)
And I love the belly! Even though I'm sure it's not as comfortable as it is cute!

are you sure you're pregnant, I mean you hardly look it.
Beautiful belly.
Have fun tonight!

Tertia,
How beautiful you look.
I kind of get the impression that Kate is going to tease Adam and bit and when he starts to cry, yell, "Mom! He started it!" Whatdaya think? Hee hee. I can't wait to hear all about those stories.
xxxooo

Meant to say, "Tease Adam a bit..." not to imply that she will actually bite. :)

Can't believe he is cheating on you. Bastard.

Wonderful belly
Posted by: Debe | 11 October 2004 at 11:04 PM
Maybe he's getting back at you for all those, ahem, "emergency" trips to see HDrH? ;-)

And NO ONE made a penis joke??? I must be twisted...I swear the tie could pass for some of my ex boyfriends (hence the ex part).
I LOVE it. Beautiful picture. Good luck with the breathing!

My word, that is QUITE a belly! In a beautiful but rather jaw-droppingly bellytastic kind of way. I think you're going to need a bigger couch/bed at this rate. Or else Marko will have to sleep on the floor. As for the doctor, I'm sure he regretted it later- that other woman, I'll bet she means nothing. It's you, dahlink, and only you.

I hope all goes well tonight and that there's plenty of hilarious moments. Great news about the babies and hope things go well this week.
Best Wishes!

I didn't read your other responses, so forgive me if I repeat. Your belly is lovely.
But - where did your penis go?
