Some annoying pregnancy pictures
WARNING: ANNOYING PREGNANCY AND SCAN PICTURES BELOW – DO NOT READ IF FEELING FRAGILE.
First a picture of the babes. Top left Babe 1 is waving both his arms, next to his head. Then another pic of Babe 1 below left, if you look carefully you will see he has his hand up to his face. Cute. Bottom right is Babe 2.
And for your viewing pleasure top right is my cervix. As you can see it has a kink in it. Am very kinky. Dr was congratulating himself and said “Damn I’m good to get embryos through that”. Let him have his glory.
Then. A picture of my belly. Be afraid, be very afraid.
I am like a circus freak. Bugger the Bearded Lady, here is the 14w pg lady who looks 8 months pg and like she swallowed an Ibex. Whole.
Julia posted a pic of her belly and thought she was rather large for her gestation. I laughed. She is dainty, petite, elegant. I am huge, enormous and very scary.
All the pg books say “by now you should notice a tiny bump, or you might not be showing at all”. Ha ha hah aaaaahhaaaa. Those books are written for small, dainty women with firm tight uteri. Petite is not a word ever used to describe me.
The scary thing is its not all baby/ies. Its chips and dip, chocolate and ice cream.
Talk about a stretched out old uterus. I know I know. It’s also because I was pg very recently and its twins etc. But still. Scary. Oh well, just hugely (pun intended) grateful to have a pg belly, no matter how circus like.
And no, I didn’t skin a Zebra to make the mat, it is for the cat (lion) to lie on.

Love the belly. Tangible evidence. Something to rub as you read or think or stand in line. I also love the u/s pics. Am I jealous? You bet, but I'm so happy for you that I have absolutely none of my usual mean thoughts on pregnant women. Those are reserved for those who are not grateful, and you my dear don't qualify.

"his?" "he?" You don't know yet, do you?
Love the belly. Beauuuuuuutifool. And well done for throwing the word "ibex" into a sentence.

ALL is beautiful!

Beautiful pics! Hey enjoy the chips, dip, chocolate and ice cream! Just call them comfort foods. I think the belly shot is awesome.

Tertia, this is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a LONG time. I am so happy for you! And as was previously posted, you certainly do NOT qualify as the type of pregnant woman who throws me into fits of despair and anger. You are the type who give the rest of us hope.

I'm all teary eyed here T. The pics and the belly are absolutely, positively, beautiful! You look fantastic.

You look beautiful. You look fantastic and petite is overrated. I know what you mean about being showing early. I've been pregnant four times (I have two living children and one on the way) and I started showing at about 9 weeks this time. My boss just announced she is pregnant (16 weeks) and not even a little bump...nothing. Oh to have a little non-stretchy uterus.
The babies look wonderful. I am just so thrilled that everything is going well.

Dude. I had to go into maternity clothes at 12 weeks (got my first stretchmarks at 10 weeks) with my first pregnancy with a singleton. Of course you're that big at this point in a subsequent pregnancy with twins. At least it's an excuse to buy more maternity clothes, since you'll be in them longer than the ones that don't show until month 5.

Love it all. You are beautiful, as are your babies.

Stop! You're a skinny minny and you look positively Gor-ge-ous. It so nice to see you on the upswing after a great u/s. I too am interested to know if your use of gendered pronouns is due to any information on your part--I saw DS's parts at 15 weeks but had to wait until 19w to have them confirm DD's parts. They're cagier about girl parts that early.
So happy for you!

Oh, piffle. Your stomach outdistances your ass, that's really all that matters. I, on the other hand, am at that terribly annoying point (6 wks, 2nd pg) where all my pants are too tight, but maternity clothes would look ridiculous. Not to mention my wearing MC would let the cat out of the bag, and I'm trying to keep things quiet until I'm at least 10-12 wks. along (knock wood).
BTW, I am still trying to find the URL for the child free blogbutthead so I can see what all the fuss was about. If you have a sec, could you send me the link? Thanks, and enjoy the chips, dips & all.

I must share a belly shot soon. I'm 18 weeks today. So while you've got a good belly goin' there for 14 weeks, you're only just keeping up with me...and the ONE baby in my belly!!
Love, love, love the pics!! Your babies are most adorable!!

You look adorable! So do the babies. Love the photos, love the happy tone. Are you feeling better?

Tertia--Cute pix all the way around. A gorgeous crew--and this most definitely includes you!

Yay, Yay! Pics of babies and bellies!!
And I can promise you, Tersh, "petite" has never in my life been a word applied to my person. "Thin" - maybe. But you and I don't really look so different right now. Except you have the nice excuse of having two in there instead of my one.
You'd better post more.

Isn't anyone going to say anything about her kinky cervix and what that means? You know the saying "kinky cervix, kinky sailor sex."
Seriously, Tertia, those babies are BEAUTIFUL. and you do look gorgeous. The three of you have made me mist up, it is such a JOY to see things continue on so well : )
(((hugs)))

Am I the only one here who's going to point and laugh and call Tertia a heifer?
Yeah, I was afraid so.
Posted by: Julie | 10 August 2004 at 06:49 PM
I must agree with all the picture cuteness mentioned above. Terribly, terribly cute. And you are of course, the bearer of all the beauty. Chocolate is good for your soul, eat up!
Posted by: wavery | 10 August 2004 at 06:59 PM
magnificent for all.
Posted by: Andreah | 10 August 2004 at 07:11 PM
Oh come off it Tertia, I look like that and I'm not pg. I have to admit though, I did laugh. Then I noticed your lovely, long neck and became bitterly jealous.

You do not look 8 months pregnant! I'd buy six months maybe... Looks like the twins are making themselves at home. Congratulations.
